The offseason is in full swing for Michigan State football and the Spartans are in the middle of an extremely exciting time. Spring practice is well underway and by all acounts is going extremely well.

Recruiting is also in full swing as well, and Jonathan Smith and his staff are working hard to fill out the 2025 class of Spartans.

Speaking of recruiting, the Spartans just received some good news from On3 recruiting expert Jason Killop who has logged a prediction in favor of Michigan State!

Brad Fitzgibbon is a three-star defensive lineman in the 2025 class. He is from Chicago, Ill., and is a very solid prospect in his class. According to On3's rankings, he is the No. 630 player in the country. He is also the No. 51 player at his position and the No. 19 player from Illinois as well.

Fitzgibbon was recently in East Lansing to watch a Michigan State spring practice on March 24. It was on this visit that he receivied a scholarship offer from Jonathan Smith and setup another visit to East Lansing again. Brad will be making his return visit to Michigan State on April 3.

The Spartans are now the overwhelming favorite to win this recruitment as On3 gives them a 92 percent chance to win this recruitment. With the Spartans being that heavily favored in this recruitment as well as Fitzgibbon returning for a second visit so soon, the Spartans could very well be on commit watch. Michigan State is yet to receive a commitment for the 2025 class, so they desperately need to pick up some momentum in this class.

Regardless of how soon MSU gets their first commitment, faith has been restored in the Michigan State football program. Usually I would be concerned at this point in the year that the Spartans do not have a commit yet, but I have faith that Smith has a plan and that those commitments will start piling up very soon.
