Jordan Hall is one of the most important players that Michigan State football has heading into the offseason and fans have been worried that the highly-touted linebacker and recently-named Freshman All-American would opt to enter the portal and explore his options

But he put some of those worries to bed on Tuesday night as he appeared on the "This is Sparta MSU" podcast hosted by Jason Strayhorn, Jehuu Caulcrick, and Otis Wiley.

Caulcrick pried a bit, posing a statement in the form of a question, essentially asking Hall if we could expect to see him on the field next season playing for the Spartans. His answer was, "I will be there in January."

While Hall didn't specifically say that he'd be suiting up in the green and white for the 2024 season, it feels like this is as close as he can get to saying that. But he's going to go through the spring with this team and see how he fits. If all goes as planned, he'll be the best linebacker that new defensive coordinator Joe Rossi has to work with.

It's nice to see him buying in because although he just wrapped up his first year in East Lansing, the team looks up to him as a leader. There's a reason he was a three-year captain at IMG Academy.

Jonathan Smith and Rossi got themselves a good one in Hall who could be an All-Big Ten first-team linebacker either this year or next and he's only going to get better.

It's scary to think that he's actually going to develop under this new coaching staff.
