On Wednesday, the (seemingly) final hire of the new Michigan State football coaching staff was made as Jonathan Smith poached Demetrice Martin from Oregon.

Like the rest of the hires, this was an impressive move by Smith and one of those that caused waves across college football. Smith went into Eugene and took one of the top coaches from a staff that just went 12-2 this past season.

But with this move, it looks like Smith's staff is all sewn up. Sure, there could be an analyst added somewhere, but it feels like everything is all set in stone.

So what does the staff look like?

Looking up and down at the staff, it's impressive. Smith brought a handful of guys with him from an Oregon State team that had plenty of success over the past couple of seasons. Brian Lindgren, Keith Bhonapha, Jim Michalczik, Brian Wozniak, Legi Suiaunoa, and Blue Adams are all joining the staff from Oregon State and you could argue that these were the best assistants (minus Trent Bray) that Smith had in Corvallis.

Smith also landed guys like Joe Rossi, Demetrice Martin, and Chad Wilt from other programs and retained wide receivers coach Courtney Hawkins. Overall, a really good staff.

Compared to Mel Tucker's staff, this one feels like it has a lot of potential and it has a ton of experience with proven success as well. Every hire by Smith felt calculated, he didn't rush anything, and he actually had time to make these hires -- that's a luxury that Tucker didn't exactly have as he was hired right after signing day.

Smith's staff is impressive, top to bottom. Everyone should be excited to see if they live up to the hype.
