The 2025 Michigan State football recruiting class has grown exponentially over the past few months and it might continue that on Thursday night as one of the Spartans' top targets is getting set to announce his decision.

Jonathan Smith has been red-hot on the trail for a couple of months and while he's not landing blue-chippers left and right, he's actually taking a more sustainable recruiting approach.

That's right, Smith is landing guys who fit his system and are more attainable early on. Once he actually proves he can turn the program back around on the field, there will be more high-profile targets committing to the Spartans.

But there's one target that is flying under the radar who might just be the top priority heading into his decision on Thursday night.

That target is Bryson Williams.

Williams is a three-star athlete from Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary's and two of his teammates are already committed to the Spartans. In fact, Charles White and Jayden Savoury committed to Michigan State over the past few months and Williams could become the third St. Mary's product in the 2025 class to pick the Spartans.

Having two teammates already committed has to help the Spartans' chances.

Williams has been faced with a tough decision already, though, and pushed his original commitment date back. He posted on Thursday morning that he would be announcing at 7 p.m. ET. His finalists include the likes of Michigan State, Pitt, Kansas, and Harvard.

This is a recruitment that Smith should win but I wouldn't count out Pat Narduzzi (Pitt) or Lance Leipold (Kansas) just yet. Still, commit watch is on.

The Orchard Lake product is ranked the No. 875 overall recruit and 65th-best athlete in the class, per 247Sports' composite rankings.
