Michigan State football has played, but never beaten, these FBS teams
The Michigan State football team has had plenty of success over the years. However, the Spartans are still yet to beat some FBS teams.
Michigan State football vs. LSU
Overall Record: 0-1
First Meeting: 1995
In Saban's first season, MSU would spin its wheels to the tune of a 6-5-1 record. That included wins over Louisville, Boston College, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan, and Indiana.
The losses that year were to No. 2 Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, No. 14 Penn State, and LSU. The last of those defeats was in the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, LA in what had to be an LSU home game.
The 45-26 Tigers win is the only time the Spartans and LSU have squared off. Of course, because of Saban, the two programs will be forever linked and perhaps they will meet again some day.
