First Meeting: 2003
Another Louisiana school that MSU has only played once is Louisiana Tech. That meeting came in 2003 in East Lansing.
MSU would jump out to a 7-0 lead before La. Tech would tie things up. However, the Spartans would then take a 19-7 lead in the fourth quarter.
Unfortunately, MSU would wilt down the stretch allowing the visitors to score two fourth-quarter TDs. The last came with just eight seconds to play as La. Tech won 20-19.
