Michigan State football has a very solid 2025 recruiting class as the beginning of the season approaches. However, even with Jonathan Smith and his entire staff's focus now shifting to on field performance, they still have some work to do on the recruiting trail.

As the season progresses we should expect to see a lot of their remaining targets taking trips to Michigan State to take in a game. Not many recruits have announced of their intentions to do so yet, but one talented recruit from Canada just announced that he will be heading to East Lansing later this fall for an official visit.

According to 247Sports insider Corey Robinson, Emmanuel Nwaiwu is planning to take a visit to East Lansing beginning on Nov. 22 when Michigan State hosts Purdue.

Nwaiwu is a three-star defensive lineman from Sainte-Croix, Saint-Laurent, Quebec, in Canada. Nwaiwu does not have an official ranking on any recruiting sites at this time, but there is no need to worry about that because international prospects typically do not receive a ranking unless they are one of the top recruits in the class.

While he may not have a ranking, he still has earned a few scholarship offers this late in the cycle. This includes Boise State and Boston College as well as a couple other smaller schools as well.

Michigan State clearly is the most storied program out of those who have currently offered Nwaiwu so far, so there is a great chance that Michigan State leads the way in his recruitment. Also is the fact that he does not have any other official visits scheduled yet according to his profile on 247Sports.

Will Smith and his staff be able to get the job done on this visit? I almost expect them to at this point, and with the visit coming at the end of the season and right before early signing day there's a great chance he could commit to Michigan State during this visit.
