Tom Izzo is heating up, ladies and gentlemen. The Michigan State basketball coach is recruiting like a madman these days as he tries to secure that first commitment in his 2025 class.

While there are some big names that seem to be trending toward the Spartans like Trey McKenney and Jalen Haralson (after a big visit last weekend), Izzo is far from done. In fact, the Hall of Fame head coach has set up several official visits this fall and one of the biggest and most important recruiting weekends will start on Oct. 3.

That's the weekend of the Izzone Campout which is a cool experience for recruits to see as thousands of students camp out for lower bowl tickets in the student section.

During this event, Izzo and the team come out and talk to the crowd and there are usually games, food trucks, live music, and just interactions with fans. It's quite the event for players and recruits seeing it for the first time would be in awe.

Well, there's reportedly one more elite recruit added to the visitor list that weekend, according to Justin Thind of 247Sports.

As of right now, the other visitors that weekend are five-star Trey McKenney and four-star Jordan Scott. Those two aligning with Cam Ward would be huge because all three are near the top of the recruiting board for Izzo and talking about teaming up would be a huge win for the Spartans.

Ward is ranked the No. 50 recruit in the 2025 class as well as the No. 11 power forward and No. 2 prospect from Maryland, according to the 247Sports Composite. He has already visited Marquette, Notre Dame, and Kansas State and has trips to Maryland, and Florida State coming up.

This trip to Michigan State should be massive.
