Michigan State basketball has a very exciting trip to Spain coming up. In fact, the team actually leaves today for their 10-day trip where they will visit Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona.

During these stops the team will play some games against professional teams to help them prepare for the upcoming season. As of today we haven’t known if the games will be available for us fans to watch at home, but Jaden Akins shared that there is a good chance we will be able to.

"I actually don’t know exactly how they can watch us yet but I know there’s gotta be some type of livestream."

Now I know the above quote doesn’t specifically say that the games will be available to watch, and until an official announcement is made about how we can watch them I’m not going to get my hopes up too much. But this quote from Akins makes it seem like there is a good chance we will be able to watch these games.

Now what I can guarantee is that they won’t be on traditional TV like regular season games are. If they will be available it will likely be streamed online.

Sure this wouldn’t be the best viewing experience, but I don’t think we would be in any position to complain. Usually at this point in the offseason we don’t get to watch Michigan State play again until their exhibition games roll around. But now we have a chance to watch them play three games against some quality competition.

I really hope Michigan State is able to get this figured out, because I know I’m not alone in wanting to watch them play. The Spartans first game in Spain is fast approaching, so if it will be available online we should find out shortly.
