Jase Richardson, Guard

Michigan State's top recruit in the 2024 class, Jase Richardson, is unfortunately the Spartan who saw his ranking drop the most. Richardson saw his ranking fall from No. 32 down to No. 40.

While being in the top 40 is still very impressive, it's still unfortunate to see his ranking fall. And to be honest, I'm not sure what On3's reasoning behind him falling is. Sometimes when players drop a couple spots it doesn't really mean anything, but dropping eight this high in the rankings is significant.

However, I don't think it's a reason to be concerned. At the end of the day, these are just rankings and have no real impact on the player themselves once they get to the next level.

Similarly to McCulloch, I think Richardson will see some playing time this year as well. It will obviously be as a backup off the bench, but I think he will be able to thrive in limited minutes off the bench, especially at point guard where I think he'll be most comfortable. The trio of Richardson,Jeremy Fears Jr. and Tre Holloman has a chance to be special.
