Jesse McCulloch, C

Last on the list is three-star center Jesse McCulloch. He is ranked much lower than Richardson and Teng at No. 133, but he is the only Spartan who saw his ranking improve in this final update. Sure it was only a one spot improvement from No. 134, but I'll take whatever we can get.

McCulloch's 247Sports ranking is also much higher than the industry average. The composite rankings have McCulloch down at No. 164, which is quite the drop off from where 247Sports has him. So hopefully it's this site that has the more accurate evaluation compared to the others.

Michigan State likely will be reliant on McCulloch this upcoming season, especially if Tom Izzo doesn't add another center from the portal. My top choice would be to have a portal center come in and take the minutes that McCulloch would be getting because I think that clearly would give Michigan State the greater upside. But unfortunately, I don't think Izzo agrees with me, so we're going to have to see how this plays out.
