Kur Teng, SG

Next up is shooting guard Kur Teng who isn't too far below Richardson in the rankings. Teng however had a more significant drop, all the way from No. 49 to No. 54.

While this drop is significant, I don't think it's anything to worry about. For starters, the 54th-ranked player is still extremely good, so it's hard to get picky about a five spot change when his ranking is still that high. Then you have to factor in that his composite ranking is better just like Richardson's.

According to those composite rankings, Teng is the No. 51 overall player and No. 8 shooting guard in the country.

But the thing that makes his drop in the rankings matter the least is that Teng will likely still play a huge role on next year's team. He might not get a ton of minutes, but his elite 3-point shooting is something the team will need desperately. Jaden Akins is the only proven elite shooter returning to the team, so Teng will hopefully be able to add to that and be a legitimate threat from deep off the bench.
