Michigan State basketball prioritizing 5-star SG Darius Adams
Tom Izzo is working, folks. There may not be a harding working head coach in America right now than Michigan State basketball's own Hall of Famer.
Not only is he working hard on his team to get them ready for the upcoming season with summer conditioning and practices, but he's also been seen on the recruiting trail just about everywhere.
We've seen him checking in on Trey McKenney multiple times as well as some 2026 targets, but he's also working in silence with several key 2025 targets. He's scheduled numerous official visits this fall with guys like McKenney, Jalen Haralson, Trent Sisley, and Jordan Scott but he's also made a major impression on some others that haven't quite been on Spartan fans' radars as much.
One of those targets that has flown under the radar (somehow) is five-star shooting guard Darius Adams who claims that Michigan State is one of six schools making him a priority.
Adams, a La Lumiere (Ind.) product, is high on Tennessee, UConn, Alabama, Notre Dame, NC State, and Michigan State and has planned a visit to each one of them this fall, per Jeff Borzello. He's also claiming that the Spartans are one of the programs pushing hardest for him.
You love to see it.
The five-star shooting guard is ranked the No. 17 prospect in the class and the No. 4 shooting guard, per the 247Sports Composite. He's also Indiana's second-best prospect.
This is a major development and it feels like a recruitment that Izzo can win given his past success at La Lumiere with guys like Jeremy Fears and Jaren Jackson Jr.
We'll see if Izzo can work his Hall of Fame magic here.
