Michigan State basketball extends offer to 4-star SG Braylon Mullins
We can officially add another name to the 2025 class target list for Michigan State basketball as the Spartans offered four-star shooting guard Braylon Mullins over the weekend.
Mullins posted that he received an offer on X after speaking with Tom Izzo on Friday.
Mullins is one of the fastest-rising prospects in the 2025 class despite being ranked just 108th nationally and as the 13th-best shooting guard by the 247Sports Composite. He has received a number of impressive offers just this month as his recruitment is really starting to blow up. In fact, he's been offered by Michigan, Purdue, Kansas, Stanford, Creighton, Alabama, and Cincinnati along with the Spartans in May so far.
Michigan State is extending its offer sheet for e 2025 class which is a good sign just in case Izzo misses on some of his top priority targets.
Right now, the Spartans are high on Trey McKenney, Niko Bundalo, Trent Sisley, and Jordan Scott but adding a shooting guard like Mullins to the mix seems like the right move.
Currently, Michigan State is rolling with Jaden Akins, Kur Teng, Jase Richardson, and maybe Gehrig Normand when he's not playing small forward as the team's shooting guards for the 2024-25 season, but there will be an opening with the former graduating. Mullins could come in and add some depth behind Teng who I'm projecting to be the starter when Akins leaves.
This isn't going to be an easy recruitment to win as the Indiana native is likely to garner more interest from major programs as the summer progresses, but Izzo is an elite recruiter so you can never count him out.
