Michigan State Basketball will see two new faces in the fall, that haven't had much talked about them. This is typically the case for non-rated players. Okemos High School's Brennan and Colin Walton have joined the Spartans as preferred walk-ons.

The twins' names appeared on the official roster list on the Michigan State Athletics website, and since then their story has been shared with both local news stations.

Tom Izzo was approached by former Spartan player Andre Hutson, whose son plays at East Lansing High School, about taking a look at the Waltons. Izzo spoke with WLNS about the addition of the brothers this season.

"My guy Andre Hutson... Andre says, 'Man you know, those guys are pretty good you know," Izzo said. "Then I heard they were going to Central, but not to play. I kind of thought that we should get them over here and at least talk to them."

It turns out that chat turned into an opportunity of a lifetime for the brothers, as both grew up as Spartans fans and long dreamed of such an opportunity.

It certainly wasn't an easy route, as the pair just recently figured out the news that they would be part of the team less than a month ago.

They have quickly gotten to work since joining the team, as the Spartans prepare for their trip to Spain.

Still it's great to see the pair get this chance, and both have some great size.

MSU and Okemos have had plenty of great connections in the past with former walk-on turned scholarship player Conner George.

It's great to see some more local talent get an opportunity to suite up in the green and white. Welcome to the team, Brennan and Colin.
