2. MSU clearly worked on free throws

It was talked about throughout the game that Michigan State had been one of the worst free throw shooting teams in college basketball this year, but that was not the case on Saturday afternoon as it made 23-of-27 from the line. The Spartans looked like a completely different team from the stripe which was an incredible sign because, well, some games are going to come down to the line.

Not only that, but Michigan State was actively seeking the charity stripe. The Spartans were working hard to get to the lane and pick up fouls which led to 27 free throws.

This is what the Spartans need moving forward.

If Michigan State can continue to shoot 80-85 percent from the line and get there 20-25 times per game, there won't be a team in college basketball that can take it down. Realistically, if the Spartans can shoot 70-75 percent and get there 15-20 times, there won't be many teams beating them. That is a very good possibility and this team showed that it could do that.
