1. This version of Michigan State is nearly unbeatable

What we saw from Michigan State on Wednesday night was impressive, to say the least. The Spartans did everything right after falling behind 7-2 and they looked like one of the best teams in the Big Ten.

What do the best teams in the conference do? They win games on the road against middle-of-the-pack teams convincingly. Michigan State did just that.

We've seen flashes of this team being great all season long and then it's the inconsistency that kills them. For example, they lost at Minnesota last Tuesday and then they went on to beat No. 10 Illinois at home by eight before going on the road to face an improved Penn State team, beating them by eight in a game that felt like a 15-point blowout.

We saw Malik Hall play his best game of the year, Jaden Akins was red-hot, Carson Cooper gave his best minutes of the year, AJ Hoggard was decent, and even Xavier Booker came in and played at a high level for a few minutes, scoring five points.

The sky really is the limit for this team and they just need to realize it. They did on Wednesday.
