Michigan State basketball let us down this weekend, but a couple of pro Spartans made up for that with some great basketball on Saturday night as Max Christie and the Lakers took on Draymond Green and the Warriors.

Christie's Lakers beat Draymond and the Warriors in a double-overtime thriller.

Before the Lakers took down the Warriors in a dramatic, high-intensity game, Christie had one of the best plays of the game. He threw down a dunk on Draymond Green.

While it wasn't exactly a "poster" dunk like this tweet below says, it was impressive to see the second-year star throw down over one of the best defenders in the NBA.

Honestly, that was probably an and-one, but it was still a great play and it shows that Christie is gaining some confidence as he gets older in the NBA. He's one of the younger players in the league but he has shown potential despite not exactly playing a ton through two years. Many Laker fans are, however, excited about his potential.

Green had the better game overall with a near-triple-double, only falling two points shy of the impressive feat, but Christie and the Lakers got the last laugh with the win.

Michigan State basketball fans were treated to this fun game and impressive play but the weekend overall was forgettable thanks to that road loss at Wisconsin. Let's hope Tom Izzo can get win No. 700 on Tuesday against the Wolverines on his 69th birthday.

Side note: it's good to see Draymond back on the court.
