Wing: Bryn Forbes

The next thing I need in my starting five is a knockdown three point shooter. Tom Izzo has had his fair share of those throughout his career, but Bryn Forbes is who I am going with here.

I'm guessing this is the selection that the most people will disagree with, but let me explain my reasoning. Even though there have been many great shooters to come through East Lansing, statistically Forbes is one of the best.

During his two seasons at Michigan State, he shot 45.8 percent from the 3-point line. This includes a whopping 48.1% during his senior season. Bryn not only was an elite shooter, but he was someone that could get extremely hot at any given point. I'm sure we all remember when he set the Big Ten record for most threes in a single game with 11 against Rutgers in 2016.

Also just imagine how much better he would be paired with a player like Cleaves. Like I mentioned earlier, Mateen made everyone he played with much better than they were. So if Forbes was this great of a shooter without Mateen, imagine how good he could be with Mateen.

So even though Forbes might not be the greatest guard to come through East Lansing, when you're constructing an all time starting five your selections don't need to be. His game just meshes so well with the rest of the guys on this list, so nobody can tell me this is a bad pick.
