It's been a busy offseason for Michigan State basketball newcomer Frankie Fidler.

After deciding to transfer from Omaha following the regular season, Fidler had to choose where his next stop would be and it was essentially down to Wisconsin and Michigan State. He chose the Spartans after his good friend Chucky Hepburn opted to transfer from Wisconsin and he immediately became that scoring option that Michigan State was looking for.

Following his first handful of Moneyball performances, fans began to realize why Tom Izzo was prioritizing the Omaha transfer so much in the portal.

It's clear that Fidler is a scorer and he's going to be just what this year's team needed with Tyson Walker moving on to the professional ranks.

The newcomer explained why he chose Michigan State over his other options in a recent video shared by the Spartans on X.

Fidler said that the culture was a reason and playing for Izzo was something he wanted and it's something that not many people can say they've done.

It was also nice to hear him call his teammates his "brothers" already after being on campus for just a few months. That family atmosphere clearly bleeds over into all sports and Izzo has done a good job of making sure the players feel like brothers even if they're brand-new to the team.

Another interesting tidbit from this "meet the rookies" interview was the fact that he believes Michigan State's black uniforms are the best. Maybe we'll see more of them this year.

Anyone else excited for the debut of Frankie Fidler in the green and white?
