About a month ago, Michigan State basketball big man Mady Sissoko made the decsion to enter the transfer portal. This news didn't shock many, as most thought this was the right move both for him and Michigan State, but Sissoko always had the option to return to East Lansing for one more season if he wished.

That however wasn't the case, and Sissoko has been looking for a new team to play one more college basketball season with.

Recently Tom Izzo shared who has been recruiting Sissoko the most sine he entered the portal, and that was Washington, Cal, San Diego State and Colorado. At the end of the day it truly doesn't matter from Michigan State's perspective where Sissoko goes, but I think most MSU fans are curious to see where he ends up. Sissoko is one of the best humans to ever play for Michigan State, so I imagine many, myself included, will be interested to watch him and cheer him on wherever he ends up.

The question as to where Sissoko could transfer was just answered as the former Spartan has picked committed to one of the four schools Izzo mentioned were on his radar.

Sissoko has made it official and has committed to Cal, according to 247Sports Stephen Brooks. I personally would've loved to see Sissoko end up at Washington simply because that means we would have gotten to see him play against Michigan State this season, but that unfortunately isn't the case.

Regardless this decision, I am extremely hopeful that Sissoko is able to find success next season. I think Cal is a good landing spot in a smaller, power five school, and I just hope he is able to make as much of an impact on and off the court at Cal as he did at Michigan State.
