The new Netflix documentary about Connor Stalions and his sign stealing scheme has been released. This documentary goes into great detail about what Stalions did while letting Stalions tell his side of the story.

Spoiler alert: Stalions lied. A lot.

However, let’s put the Stalions and Michigan side of things on hold as we finally heard from the third group that’s been involved in this investigation. That’s right, Central Michigan has finally released a statement, their very first if I’m not mistaken, since these allegations were made almost 10 months ago.

"We are aware of the inferences made in the new Netflix documentary regarding former University of Michigan football staff member Connor Stalions accessing the CMU sidelines during our opening game last September. For the past 10 months, CMU has fully cooperated with the NCAA's ongoing investigation, and we will continue to cooperate with the NCAA as it works to complete its investigation. NCAA Bylaws expressly prohibit CMU from publicly commenting on the details of the case at this time. We are eager to bring this matter to a fair and prompt conclusion and to share what we know. We appreciate the patience and support of our community."

Central Michigan

So it sounds like Central Michigan knows what the facts are in this investigation but can’t publically share them due to NCAA bylaws. Fair enough.

But we all know what the findings in this investigation are and that is that Stalions did attend the game last season between Michigan State and Central Michigan illegally while wearing CMU team gear. Nobody needs the NCAA’s findings to clear that up.

But what we do need to know is what Michigan’s punishment will be. I don’t know if wins or titles will be vacated, but with all the lying going on in the Michigan program surrounding this investigation that might be the punishment they deserve.

I also wonder how Central Michigan will be punished as well as they deserve to be held accountable for allowing Stalions in their sideline. I personally hope Michigan State steps in and cancels any future games with them. As great as it’s been to play them in the past, they don’t deserve the money we pay them to come to East Lansing when MSU plays them. There are countless other schools out there that Michigan State can trust more.

I don’t know about you but I can’t wait for this investigation to be complete. Unfortunately that won’t occur for another 90 days at least as that’s how long Michigan now has to respond to the NCAA’s Notice of Allegations that were sent to the Wolverines on Sunday.
