Wide Receiver 3: Tony Lippett

I admittedly struggled with this last selection, but after digging through the numbers it became quite clear who I should pick.

Tony Lippett had an eerily similar season in 2014 compared to Burbridge’s 2015 season. Lippett also led the Big Ten in receiving yards, won Big Ten receiver of the year and was an All-Big Ten first team selection as well.

Lippett also comes in at No. 4 all time in Michigan State history with 149 career receptions. On top of that, Lippett comes in at No. 5 in MSU history with 2,247 career receiving yards.

But the thing that was the tipping point for me is that Lippett can play both sides of the ball. He was a standout corner as well and actually only played corner in the NFL.

So when it was all said and done, I had to select Lippett not only because of his accomplishments, but because of his versatility as well.

Quick shoutout to Keshawn Martin and Felton Davis III who are the players that made this position so difficult for me to fill out. I would not complain if you were to put either one of those guys as one of your three wide receivers.
