Safety 1: Isaiah Lewis

The first safety I'm selecting to Dantonio's all time team is Isaiah Lewis. You know a career had to be good when a player starts the very first game of his true freshman season, and that's exactly what Lewis did.

Lewis went on to make the All-Big Ten freshman team in 2010 after finding his spot as a backup safety and standout on special teams. However, once his sophomore season rolled around in 2011 his career really took off.

Throughout his next three seasons, Lewis made an All-Big Ten team ranging from honorable mention in 2012 all the way to first team in 2013. The 2011 season was expecially impressive as he had two pick-sixes and made the All-Big Ten second team.

Across his career, Lewis racked up 227 tackles as well as five tackles for loss. His eight interceptions (including four as a sophomore) were very impressive as well as his 26 career pass defenses.

We all know how special the secondary was during the Dantonio era, so these selections have been difficult. But even with all the great options, Lewis is a must to include for me.
