I have a feeling this year’s Michigan State offense will be one that we haven’t seen in quite some time. Highlighted by star quarterback Aidan Chiles, this offense has weapons all across the board that are ready to explode.

One of those weapons is incoming freshman Nick Marsh who is the top commit from the Spartans' 2024 recruiting class and is looking to make a splash at wideout as a true freshman with Chiles.

And it appears that Marsh could do just that, according to none other than Chiles himself.

“He’s (Marsh) a baller. He can thrive off big talent. He’s young, but we need him to get ready. He can help us big in the fall.”

It’s not often that a true freshman is able to make an immediate impact in college, but by all accounts Marsh could very well do just that. Marsh was an early enrollee this year at Michigan State, so he already went through spring practice and has become very acclimated to Jonathan Smith’s offense and Chiles himself. So these comments from Chiles, and the countless others we have heard all offseason, aren’t coming from nowhere.

The hype surrounding Marsh is real, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him be one of the leaders of the wide receiver room already. And the best part of it all, Marsh is a true Spartan.

March originally committed to Michigan State while Mel Tucker was still head coach. After all the drama that ensued at the start of last season, it wouldn’t have been surprising seeing any recruit jump ship. But Marsh never even wavered.

He stuck with MSU even after Smith was hired because of his love for the program and university. And that love, along with the elite talent that he posses, is the reason why he could become one of the all time great Michigan State wide receivers when his career is done.
