5. Kory Amachree, RB

Last but not least is three-star running back Kory Amachree who is from Lansing, Mich.

On3 ranks Amachree as the No. 345 player in the country as well as the No. 26 running back and No. 7 player from Michigan.

We always talk about how important it is to recruit the state of Michigan well, but it’s arguably even more important to recruit the city of Lansing well whenever a solid recruit is from the area. Not long ago wide receiver Andrel Anthony who went to East Lansing high school decided to go to Michigan over MSU, and I don’t know about you but I really don’t want to see that happen again.

As it stands today, Michigan State has a 31.9% to win Amachree’s recruitment according to On3. Purdue is the only other school with a decent percentage to win sitting 27.9%, respectively.

There aren’t as many big name programs involved in Amachree’s recruitment as of now, so based on that and the fact that he’s from Lansing I do think Michigan State has a great chance to win this recruitment. However, anything’s possible since Amachree is also in the 2026 class, so we’ll have to wait and see how this recruitment plays out over the next year and a half.
