4. Ben Nichols, OL

Keeping it in the 2026 class we have Ben Nichols who is from Davison, Mich. Similarly to Patrick, Nichols also is a four-star offensive lineman that Michigan State currently leads for.

On3 ranks Nichols as the No. 3 player from the state of Michigan as well as the No. 187 overall player and No. 12 offensive lineman.

On3 also gives the Spartans a 34 percent chance to win this recruitment which is a slight lead over Notre Dame who has a 23.9% chance to win.

Other schools are beginning to get involved in Nichols’ recruitment as Ohio State has recently given him a scholarship offer. Penn State, Iowa, Florida State, Tennessee, Michigan and Wisconsin are a few of the other schools to offer Nichols as well.

Similarly to Patrick, this is another super important recruitment for Smith to win. Just imagine for a second if he’s able to earn commitments from both of these players. Not only would Smith be dominating the state of Michigan on the recruiting trail but the Spartan’s offensive line would be solid for years to come.

That would potentially be Smith’s biggest recruiting win yet, so let’s hope Smith’s able to get that done over the next year.
