2. Cashus Shivers, ATH

Next up is athlete Cashus Shivers who is another three-star in the 2025 class. Shiver’s recruitment is similar to Pierce as he too hasn’t taken any official visits yet either. But that hasn’t stopped On3 from listing Michigan State as the heavy favorite.

Shivers is the No. 943 player in the country as well as the No. 55 ATH. He also is the No. 19 player from the state of Michigan as well.

Shivers may not be the highest ranked recruit, but recruiting the in-state talent is always key to building a good program. And it appears Smith is knocking it out of the park with Shivers on that front as On3 gives Michigan State a 99 percent chance to win this recruitment.

But this is where things get a little strange. 247Sports doesn’t have a leader listed quite like On3 does, but they do list Kentucky as the only “warm” program on his profile.

So what does this tell us? We don’t know much about Shiver’s recruitment at all. But we do know MSU is in the thick of it and hopefully Smith and his staff can get him to commit to Michigan State this fall.
