1. Aidan Chiles, QB (Oregon State transfer)

Sorry, no surprises here. Aidan Chiles will have the biggest impact of any of the newcomers for obvious reasons -- he plays the most important position on the team.

As the new starting quarterback, he's taking the reins of an offense that hasn't had a pulse since 2021. If the Spartans are going to climb out of the cellar of the Big Ten, it's going to be up to Chiles. That's a lot of pressure on his shoulders, but he seems more than ready to take over and he just has a natural leadership quality that you can't teach.

The former top-60 recruit in the 2023 class played in nine games as a true freshman for Oregon State, passing for 309 yards and four touchdowns on 24-of-35 completions. He also had 79 rushing yards and three touchdowns, showcasing those wheels.

Chiles has serious superstar potential and the experts agree. He was ranked 247Sports' No. 8 overall transfer in this cycle and the No. 2 quarterback as well.

No question about it, Chiles will be the most impactful newcomer this season.
