3. MSU Basketball at Iowa (2023)

By now we can sense a theme, but this one was unlike any other.

It will be debated until the end of time if a group of YMCA all-stars can hold an 11-point lead with one minute to go against a college team. It's all the Division 1 power conference program Michigan State had to do, and with a 99.7% win probability, the Spartans ended up losing in overtime.

Yes, Iowa made 5-of-6 3-pointers in the last minute including four in a row, but AJ Hoggard missed his final free throw of regulation after making five straight to give the window to Iowa and they blew it wide open. It was the first game I got to write about for Spartan Avenue and I'll I could think was, "I can't believe this is what I have to write about."

I laughed, cried, and went numb all in a matter of milliseconds. To avoid further triggers for Spartan fans, that's all I will say about this game, and promise to never bring it up again.
