2. Xavier Amos, Northern Illinois

Next up is another similar player in Xavier Amos from Northern Illinois. Just like with Aaron Scott, Xavier also fits the mold Izzo appears to be looking for as well. At 6-foot-8 and 215 pounds, you can clearly see how he has the frame to be able to compete at the power conference level.

On top of that, Amos averaged 13.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. This includes a huge improvement from the 3-point line this past season, going from 17 percent all the way to 38 percent this year. But the thing I like the most about Xavier is his big game potential. This season Amos had eight games where he scored at least 20 points. I don’t know about you, but Michigan State probably needs more players with potential to go off on any given night like he can.

Amos is a four-star prospect on 247Sports as well and the No. 92 overall player in the portal. The potential that he has, as well as the production displayed this past season, makes him another solid option for Izzo and MSU in the portal.
