1. Aaron Scott, North Texas

First on the list is Aaron Scott, a transfer forward from North Texas. The first thing that makes Scott a good option for Tom Izzo is because he fits the mold of transfers he’s already reached out to. Izzo has already contacted multiple tall guards/forwards who can rebound the ball well and shoot the three efficiently. That’s exactly who Scott is.

This past season, Scott averaged 11 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. He also shot 37 percent from deep as well as 79 percent from the free throw line. Now that is production we could always use in East Lansing.

According to 247Sports, Aaron is a four-star prospect with a 92 overall rating. That is a huge improvement compared to high school, when Scott was a three-star recruit with an 85 rating. There are a few guys every season that seemingly come out of nowhere from a small, mid-major school and burst onto the scene at the power conference level, and that is exactly what I think Scott could do next year at Michigan State.
