Four former Michigan State football players have found themselves in Cincinnati after NFL draft weekend came and passed.

Although they went undrafted, there were four former Spartans who signed undrafted free agent deals with the Bengals this weekend, led by Tre Mosley who happened to be the only one of the four who didn't transfer at some point during his career.

The other three were Rocky Lombardi, Elijah Collins, and Michael Dowell.

Collins had a promising redshirt freshman season in the final year of Mark Dantonio before seeing his playing time diminish under Mel Tucker. He transferred to Oklahoma State where he sat behind one of the nation's top running backs this past season.

Rocky Lombardi was Tucker's first starting quarterback before he gave way to Payton Thorne who took over for the 2021 season. He transferred to Northern Illinois where he played for the past three seasons. He's an athlete who could transition to a different position at the next level.

And lastly, Michael Dowell was the younger brother of David and Andrew who both played in East Lansing and made the NFL leap as undrafted free agents as well. He transferred to Miami (OH) where he had over 150 total tackles in two seasons with the RedHawks.

It's cool to see former Spartans landing on their feet and it would be fun to have any combination of these four make the Bengals' 53-man roster.

If any of them do, they'll join Joe Bachie in Cincinnati who has made a name for himself with the Bengals.
