3. Will the freshmen class take a big leap next season?

Typically the most important offseason for any college basketball player is the summer between their freshman and sophomore seasons. They finally have the experience of going through an entire season and they now have an entire offseason where all they have to do is focus on improving their games. Whether that be improving on the court or in the weight room, this offseason is massive for each of MSU's four freshmen.

Will Xavier Booker be able to improve defensively so he can become a starter? How will Jeremy Fears come back after his tragic injury? Will Coen Carr be able to develop a jump shot? Can Gehrig Normand be productive and bring in some much needed shooting in his first season of playing?

These are the main questions facing each of this past year's freshmen. If each player is able to drastically improve before next season, this team could be extremely good. But if they become complacent and don't improve much, next year could be another rough season.

A lot will be riding on the freshman class next year, so their development needs to be a point of emphasis for Tom Izzo this offseason.
