3 things I hope to see from Michigan State basketball during Moneyball Day 3

Can Michigan State basketball players shine at Moneyball again this week?

3. Can we get some defense, please?

One thing that almost never happens at Moneyball is teams playing good defense. They may have short stretches where they actually try and play good defense, but that’s few and far between.

So I hope we see the guys turn it up on defense this week and make it hard on their teammates they’re playing against as well as the other players.

I know this may be asking for too much, because like I said, nobody ever wants to play defense at Moneyball, but I think it would be for the groups benefit if they did. They need to try and replicate real game scenarios to help better prepare them for the regular season, and the only way to do that it is if everyone gives a little more effort on defense.

Knowing Tom Izzo, I don’t think he’d be opposed to this either. In fact, this might be the No. 1 thing on his list if he were writing this post.
