2. Improved vibes from the coaching staff

The next big takeaway I had from the Spring Showcase was how much better this coaching staff looks compared to the last staff MSU had. I don’t want to be too negative about the last staff, but there were issues there beyond poor coaching and schemes.

However, this staff under Smith already looks much improved. You get the feeling that all these guys care about is helping their players become the best versions of themselves, a feeling I didn’t always get that feeling in years past. This staff also appears to be way more professional as well.

But the thing that was most important from a coaching staff standpoint is that the players seemed to be getting along with them extremely well. At the end of the day, the opinions of fans don’t really matter, all that matters is if the players get along and enjoy playing for their coaches. That appears to be the obvious case so far, which is huge under a brand-new staff.
