3. Chris McCorkle, 4-star CB -- Sarasota, Fla. (Indiana commit)

Besides having a killer first name, Chris McCorkle is one of the most talented players out there at a position group MSU is desperately trying to overhaul.

All name jokes aside, it’s no secret that the defensive staff has prioritized a secondary makeover. That room could get exponential better with McCorkle’s commitment. He stands 6-foot-1 and weighs about 170 pounds. As mentioned above, he is also a current Indiana verbal commit but rumors have been circulating that he may be trending elsewhere.

This past season, McCorkle showed some major athleticism. He played both receiver and cornerback for his team. He tallied 13 total receptions, seven of which went for touchdowns. He also gained a total of 371 yards.

Defensively he tallied 37 total tackles, nine interceptions, and 15 pass breakups (per his Twitter).

McCorkle's size and speed will make him an undeniable asset for the Spartan coaching staff. He will be on campus June 14-16. Expect Demetrice Martin to really make a big effort to flip him to the green and white. He could be a major piece for the Spartans moving forward.
