With spring ball officially in the books, Michigan State football fans can finally look forward to EA Sports College Football 25 coming out in July so they can play as their favorite Spartans.

There's a feeling of excitement back within the program and there are some position groups that really shined this spring and made fans feel good about the immediate future of the team. The Spartans didn't have a typical spring scrimmage, but the Showcase offered a chance to watch an open practice as well as a sped-up game at the end.

Which position groups should we all be feeling the best about at the end of spring camp?

1. Quarterback

A year ago, there was hope for the quarterback position with Noah Kim, Katin Houser, and Sam Leavitt manning the room, but all of them fell short of expectations. This year, Aidan Chiles will be the team's starter and he'll be backed up by talented North Dakota transfer Tommy Schuster.

Chiles was rated the No. 1 transfer quarterback in the portal and he should be one of the brightest young stars in the Big Ten this season. He showcased his talents during the Spring Showcase with accuracy and his legs. He has serious superstar potential and as long as he can stay healthy, he will be Michigan State's best quarterback in quite a while.

As for Schuster, he's the perfect backup as he's experienced and has arm talent. He's going to keep the pressure on Chiles to be productive and these two are going to feed off each other.

Behind them is talented freshman Alessio Milivojevic who will be a solid third option in 2024.
