2. Nate Carter, RB

No one would benefit more from a healthy and talented offensive line that Nate Carter.

We saw flashes of his ability on the first play of the season as he broke a 31-yard run. But bad offensive line play and questionable play calling hindered Carter for a majority of the season, topping 100 yards rushing once in conference play and only topping 60 yards one other time against Big Ten opponents. He also didn't have a single touchdown in the last 10 games of the season.

Again, a lot of that was due to the incompetency of the offensive staff and the total lack of blocking up front.

The lead rusher for Jonathan Smith's Oregon State Beavers was Damein Martinez, who topped 100 yards seven times. If this year's team wants any success, they will have to run the ball, as that keeps the opposing offense off the field, gives the defense a breather, and opens things up for new quarterback Aiden Chiles.

If Carter is able to put up similar numbers as Martinez last year, it will be easy to see his name called on the draft stage on Day 2 or 3.
