2. Cal Haladay, LB

Cal Haladay may lack prototypical lineback height, but he more than makes up for it in weight and grit.

We all know the cliché of "oh he doesn't even wear gloves" but the dude is a tackling machine and has a knack for ending the play with the ball in his hands. He is tied for the most individual defensive touchdowns in school history with two of his three interceptions returned for touchdowns and scored Michigan State's lone touchdown against Iowa last year on a fumble recovery.

By no means does he look like a first-round pick, but it's not hard to see teams like the Lions, Ravens, or Steelers seeing a guy who loves football, isn't afraid to tackle, and will do anything to help his team win (has plenty of special teams reps in his career).

Haladay did drop some weight and should help him be faster in coverage, which has hurt him in years past. Again, with good coaching, The Boogeyman should elevate his game in the 2024 season.
