3. Coen Carr and Jase Richardson dominate

Coen Carr and Jase Richardson have been paired on the same team together all summer, and Tuesday night the duo absolutely dominated at Moneyball.

The duo combined for 71 points with Carr scoring 37 and Richardson contributing 34 points.

Now I don’t expect to see these guys go off like this as a duo during the season, but that’s just because both will be role players this year. Neither will be asked to be the heros of the team, which there’s nothing wrong with.

But it is a very comforting thing knowing that both of these “role players” are able to explode like this on any given night. We all know how Carr can swing the momentum in any game with his athletic ability and high-flying dunks, but he also may have found a 3-point jumpshot this summer as well. Then we have Richardson who can come in and help run the offense off the bench and knock down shots when needed as well.

So even though Carr and Richardson likely won’t be a meaningful duo during the regular season, seeing them both have monster performances like this makes me very confident when either one comes off the bench this season.
