3. Trio of Spartans dominate

One thing you always hope to see at Moneyball is your stars to dominating every night. With the decrease in competitiveness from their competition, it would be bad news if they struggled. But on Tuesday night three of Michigan State’s best players all shined.

First you have Tre Holloman, who exploded for 44 points and a whopping 10 made 3-pointers. Next you have Frankie Fidler who stayed hot and scored 40 of his own points. And lastly there’s Jaden Akins who had the best night of all with 47 points and eight made 3-pointers.

These three guys will be the best players on this year’s team and they all need to play extremely well in order for the season to go how we all hope. Now I doubt any of them will score 40 points in an actual game this season, but doing that in Moneyball is expected. If they couldn’t reach these point totals at Moneyball then I’d doubt they could hit 20 this coming season which is a more realistic number for them to reach.

These three could also be starters for Michigan State this season. Can you imagine having three guys who can go off like this at any given point all in your starting lineup? That sounds pretty good to me and it sounds like Michigan State will have that luxury this season.
