Game three of the Jonathan Smith era is upon us and it’s hard to deny how great the season has gone so far. Sure we’re only two games in, but the Spartans did what the country thought they couldn’t do which was go into Maryland and come home with a win.

The question now is if Michigan State can keep that momentum going.

They should have no issues beating Prairie View A&M this Saturday, but to keep their momentum high they need to dominate on Saturday.

So to do that and help build more confidence for the rest of the season, here are my three keys for the Spartans' game against Prairie View on Saturday.

1. Offensive line needs to get a push

One of the main things that has concerned me with Michigan State’s offense so far is the lack of push they are getting from their offensive line.

This was most concerning week one against Florida Atlantic as they were a team that MSU should’ve been able to handle, but that was an issue all game. The offensive line was better against Maryland, but they had too many examples of blown assignments causing many plays to result in big losses.

So this is the most important thing I want to see on Saturday.

Now Michigan State probably doesn’t need to dominate in the trenches in order for them to win, their athletes everywhere else should be able to pick up the slack. But for the sake of the rest of the season, I want to seem them dominate so they can build some more confidence before the meat of their schedule begins.
