3. Slow down Tai Felton

The most important player that Michigan State needs to lock in on defensively is wide receiver Tai Felton. Felton had one of the most best games in the country last week in Maryland's win over UConn when he caught seven balls for 178 yards and two touchdowns. Those yards are 10th most so far this season in the entire country.

So if Michigan State is going to slow this Maryland offense down, it starts with finding a way to limit Felton.

Thanfully for Michigan State their defense against FAU was much improved. But I'm still not convinced that they are an elite unit that can be relied on every game, but they can prove that and earn that reputation this weekend with another strong performance.

Another way to help slow Felton down is by keeping the Maryland offense off the field entirely. So Michigan State's offense can help with this key by having long drives to help dominate the time of possession.

If Michigan State is able to keep the ball out of Felton's hands then they will have a great chance at pulling off the upset this weekend.
