The Michigan State football team will look a lot different in 2024. The roster has shaken up, and the guys who headline this year's team will not be the same ones who headlined last year's.

Let's preview a few players who are going to take that next step and become breakout candidates for the Spartans this fall.

1. Nick Marsh, WR

River Rouge product Nick Marsh is only a true freshman.

It doesn't matter. He looks prepared to make noise already. In case his status as a near-top-100 recruit wasn't exciting enough, Marsh had an outstanding spring game. The 6-foot-3 wideout went for over a hundred yards, including a highly impressive 75-yard touchdown catch-and-run.

Marsh has dangerous speed and athleticism, an elite physical frame, and in general, is just an extremely intriguing receiver prospect. It's hard to take too much away from a spring game, but the young pass-catcher has all the tools he needs.

Considering an otherwise fairly uninspiring MSU wide receiver room, Marsh has the opportunity and ability to make a splash in his first year. He's an uncommon talent.
