3 bold predictions for Michigan State football vs. Prairie View A&M
Michigan State football is fresh off its first big win of the Jonathan Smith era after defeating Maryland on the road 27-24. Typically you see teams sometimes struggle the following week after an emotional win, but I don’t expect that from Michigan State this week.
The Spartans welcome FCS Prairie View A&M to town on Saturday in what should be a very easy win for MSU. With the final result of the game not really in doubt we should expect Michigan State to dominate the entire game.
So my three bold predictions this week are going to focus on ways that MSU can ensure they dominate Prairie View like they should.
1. Michigan State has zero turnovers
Turnovers have been a major problem for Michigan State so far this season. The Spartans have had three turnovers in each of their first two games with four total interceptions and two fumbles.
That is not good enough.
If MSU is going to win some of their more difficult games that are upcoming then they have to be much improved. Thankfully for Michigan State this game against Prairie View is the perfect opportunity.
The Spartans are infinitely better than Prairie View in every aspect of the game, so that should in turn help them not turn the ball over. However, getting zero turnovers will still be difficult considering how poor they’ve been this season so far.
But that’s exactly what I’m predicting, a zero turnover game for MSU to help them build some confidence moving forward.
