After losing by 14 at No. 25 USC in Week 4, Michigan State football got its bye at the perfect time. The Spartans will get to regroup after their first loss of the season, and they'll get an extra week to prepare for the tough matchup against Dylan Raiola and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Michigan State will hit the road for a second straight game, but this time the Spartans will be in Lincoln in one of the best venues in the sport. Memorial Stadium is always sold out, and Week 6 will be no different.
Aidan Chiles and Co. will have a chance to pull off a huge road win over Matt Rhule and the Cornhuskers, but Vegas is already counting the Spartans out.
On Friday, the first opening odds were released, and Nebraska is a surprisingly large favorite.

That's right, Nebraska opens as an 11.5-point favorite in Week 6 with an over/under set at 53. I'm a little surprised to see that the Cornhuskers are double-digit favorites despite both teams being 3-1 and the Spartans losing on the road last week while Nebraska lost to Michigan at home.
Michigan State probably should get a little more respect than this, especially with Chiles playing at such a high level, but Vegas just doesn't believe in the Spartans' defense.
Fair.
Michigan State gave up 40 to Boston College, 24 to Youngstown State, and then 45 to USC last week. That's not exactly a great stretch that instills confidence in this team to win on the road against a good team like Nebraska.
But as long as Chiles continues to play at a high level, Michigan State is never going to just roll over.
