The goal for Michigan State football in Week 3 was staying healthy and building confidence heading into a Week 4 showdown with USC on the road.

Unfortunately, neither of those really happened to the extent that Jonathan Smith would've liked as key players like Nick Marsh and Makhi Frazier went down with injuries, and offensive lineman Luka Vincic is done for the year. That's not even it, Smith also lost Alante Brown in warmups after he tweaked something in his leg.

It was a disaster as four key players suffered injuries against an FCS opponent, and the Spartans won despite an uninspired defensive effort, giving up over 350 yards and 24 points to the Penguins.

The statuses of Marsh and Frazier are on everyone's mind heading into Saturday night's USC game as the Spartans are hoping to get these two back for the big game. Well, there has been some good news on that front, according to a couple of social media posts.

It looks like both players have traveled with the team which is a good sign.

Ashton Lepo, too, was injured and missed last week's game, so it's a good sign that he may be on his way back, too.

Shortly after Michigan State's official X account leaked that Marsh was traveling with the team, Frazier posted a picture of Los Angeles on his Instagram.

While this still doesn't mean that they're playing, they're at least healthy enough to travel with the team and likely suit up. If they didn't have a legit shot at playing, they wouldn't be in Los Angeles this weekend. But it looks like they're at least going to give it a try.

Michigan State is going to need everyone at full strength and playing their A-games if the Spartans want to pull off the road upset on Saturday night.
