Cam Ward wrapped up a solid senior season this past spring/winter and earned an invite to participate in the Iverson Classic on May 3.

While he wasn't a McDonald's All-American like every young basketball dreams of, he went on to make a name for himself in the basketball world, getting endorsed by Kevin Durant and making an Iverson Classic roster.

Entering his freshman year with Michigan State, many believe he's going to have an immediate impactful role. If his performance among other elite recruits at the Iverson Classic is any indication of what we should expect from him in 2025-26, Michigan State fans are going to fall in love.

Per DK on X, Ward had himself a night at the Iverson Classic, finishing with 23 points.

Ward was efficient from the field, shooting 11-for-14 and he only missed one shot inside the arc as he was just 1-for-3 from deep. It's a good sign that he's taking those shots, though, because Michigan State could use a floor-spacing forward like him who can guard the four while also playing an inside-out game on the offensive end.

Not only did Ward star on the offensive end, but he was a force on the glass, grabbing nine boards and he didn't let his defense go by the wayside (it often does in these all-star games), as he finished with a block and the above steal and score.

Michigan State fans should be thrilled about Ward joining the roster next season because he's going to become an immediate favorite. He plays hard all the time and that's what will earn him minutes.

I have high hopes for Ward.
