A new Michigan State football season is upon us, and I almost forgot that means new jersey reveal videos.

Every week during the season (outside of bye weeks), Michigan State posts a jersey reveal video on social media that gives fans insight to what uniform combinations it'll be wearing for the upcoming game. This year is no different as Jonathan Smith has continued the jersey reveal tradition.

On Wednesday, the Spartans posted their first jersey reveal video of the season for the Western Michigan game, and it's a clean, but simple, look.

I like the white helmets with the green jersey and the white pants. It's a clean look, but I usually prefer the green helmet with this uniform combination, but they wore that last year for the FAU game, and it was a fairly ugly game that provided a safety as the first points scored of the Smith era.

My favorite look, however, is the all-green combination. A green helmet with the green jersey, green pants, and dark cleats. That, to me, is the best home look that the Spartans have.

This feels like a business-as-usual look for the opener.

During the Mel Tucker era, it felt like the team was trying to be flash too much instead of providing substance with it, and the best time of the week was usually the jersey reveal and not the games (outside of the 2021 season). Smith is finding a happy medium.

Michigan State will come out of the tunnel to Thunderstruck and potentially some fireworks with a clean white-green-white look. Not too shabby.
